Habaş plans to open a drilling well in the Aliağa district of İzmir to search for geothermal resources. The source is intended to be used in the company's Air Separation Plant.

Habaş Sınai ve Tıbbi Gazlar İstihsal Endüstrisi A.Ş.  plans to search for geothermal resources in the licensed area with registration number RN:1585 in the Aliağa district of İzmir. The geothermal source will be explored using the drilling method as part of the project worth 10 million TL.

In the work to be carried out in the company's licensed area covering 1658 hectares, one drilling well will be opened. The total work area will be 400 m2 in size. The planned drilling depth for the geothermal source is 650±200 meters. Since the work is a reconnaissance drilling activity, there will be no production or utilization.

Based on the conducted research, it is estimated that the geothermal fluid temperature from the selected drilling location will be approximately 34-38 °C. It is considered that the geothermal source can be used in the heating system of the company's Air Separation Plant.
